Swanepoel was born to Willem Swanepoel and Eileen Swanepoel (Nee Green) and grew up in an African family on the Mooi River in South Africa. His father Mutare was from Zimbabwe, formerly known as Umtali. Her mother is from South Africa. He has an older brother named Stephen. Growing up, Candice was a ballet dancer. He attended boarding school at St. Ann's Diocesan College in the town of Hilton, near Swanepoel. At the age of 15, he was spotted by a model scout at the Durban Flea Market.

Swanepoel speaks Afrikaans, English, and Portuguese, while the rest is inherited from her longtime ex, Hermann Nicoli, a Brazilian model. They started dating when they met in Paris when she was 17 and when she was 23 years old. In August 2015, the couple reported their commitment. Swanepoel and Nicoli have two children. They are from some parts. From 2018, she will spend her time between Brazil and New York cities.

In 2010, Swanpole became Victoria, the Secret Angel. Swanople is a model for Kardashian's 2010 swimwear range. On August 12, 2010, Swanpole officially opened its first Victoria's Secret retail store at West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Canada. In 2013, Svenpoile was selected as the cover model of the distinctive Victoria's Secret swimming catalog. Swanople was selected to wear the "Fantasy Bra" at the 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
The $ 10 million bras, nicknamed the "Royal Fantasy Bra", was made by Mowad. The bra and its matching belt contain 4,200 precious gems, including rubies, diamonds, and yellow sapphires, encrusted with 18-carat gold and 52-carat ruby in the center.
