Bloodshot is a 2020 American superhero movie based on the Valentine comics character of the same name. Valentine's Comics is intended to be the first installment in a series of films set in the shared cinematic universe. From screenplays by Jeff Wadlow and Eric Hesser to David S. F. Wilson directed (his film debut) and Wadlow Story, starring Vin Diesel, Izza Gonzalez, Sam Heegan, Toby Kebel, and Guy Pierce. It follows a Marine killed in action to bring it back to life with superpowers by a company that wants to use it as a weapon.

Bloodshed was released in the United States on March 13, 2020, by Sony Pictures. The film grossed over 37 million worldwide and received mixed reviews from critics. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic ending theaters worldwide, the film was made available digitally within two weeks of its release by Sony Theater.

Following its release on February 21, 2020, Sony Pictures released BloodLetting on March 13, 2020, in the United States. It also launched on the same day in the UK, Ireland, India, and Spain.

Sony Pictures has confirmed that the film will be released digitally on March 18, 2020, via premium VOD in the United States and Canada, due to COVID-19 epidemic restrictions due to movie theater closures. The film is two weeks after the theatrical opening and before the end of the typical 90-day theatrical run. Within the first three days of home release, Bloodshot was the highest on Amazon Prime and the fourth on iTunes. Despite the epidemic's impact on the film's box office revenue, Bloodshot topped Digital Entertainment Group's 'Watched at Home Top 20' list for the week ending May 9, 2020.

Like an epidemic, the film was released on May 1, 2020, at three Centicos theaters in San Antonio, Texas. In China, the film was released on July 24, 2020. In August 2020, AMC Theaters announced that the film would be re-launched. It re-opened in theaters that month.
